Bryan Balint
Founder & Director of Flight Operations
Bryan Balint’s path into aviation wasn’t a straight line it was built through hands-on work, persistence, and a genuine love for flying.
He began his career on the ramp at United Airlines, where long days around aircraft and flight operations reinforced his desire to be in aviation for the long run. While pursuing his education at Lewis University, Bryan developed a strong foundation in aviation and business, learning firsthand how the industry operates both in the air and on the ground.
Before launching Lumina Aviation, Bryan also worked as a general contractor, running and managing construction projects. That experience shaped the way he approaches aviation today with a focus on accountability, safety, planning, and execution. Building systems, managing risk, and leading teams became second nature, and those same principles now guide Lumina Aviation’s operations.
Bryan completed his flight training at ATP Flight School, where he experienced the intensity and structure of professional pilot training firsthand. That experience helped clarify what works, what doesn’t, and what student pilots truly need to succeed.
Lumina Aviation was created by combining all of those experiences — airline operations, formal education, business ownership, and professional flight training into a modern flight school built around efficient training, modern aircraft, and honest guidance. Bryan remains actively involved in day-to-day operations, working closely with instructors and students to ensure Lumina delivers a training experience he’s proud to stand behind.
For Bryan, Lumina Aviation represents more than a business. It’s the result of years of hard work and a commitment to helping future pilots build real skills, real confidence, and real momentum toward their goals.
